About Liquid Detergent
Liquid detergent is a surfactant-based cleaning agent formulated to remove oils, greases, dirt, and other industrial contaminants from various surfaces. It is supplied as a clear to pale blue liquid, typically with a concentration of active cleaning agents ranging from 10% to 15%. This concentration allows effective cleaning performance while maintaining safe handling characteristics. The product is fully soluble in water and designed to be used diluted at typical dosages of 0.5% to 2% by volume depending on the application and soil load. Delivered in bulk packaging formats such as drums and Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs), liquid detergent must be stored in cool, dry, and well-ventilated areas away from direct sunlight to preserve stability. It is mildly alkaline, with a pH range generally between 8 and 10, supporting effective removal of greasy soils without excessive corrosivity. This cleaning agent is incompatible with strong acids and oxidizing agents, which can degrade its performance and safety profile.
Why Liquid Detergent Matters
Industrial cleaning environments demand a detergent that balances potency with operational safety. This liquid detergent effectively breaks down tough contaminants like oils and greases that accumulate on manufacturing equipment, food processing lines, or textile machinery, preventing downtime caused by fouling or contamination. Its mildly alkaline nature preserves equipment integrity while enhancing cleaning efficiency. Using a detergent with consistent solubility and controlled pH minimizes residue buildup and environmental discharge challenges. This translates to a simpler cleaning process, longer equipment life, and compliance with hygiene standards, especially in sectors where sanitary conditions are critical, such as food processing and hospitality.
