The standard purity grade for industrial applications is typically greater than 98%, with a common use rate between 5% to 20% volume concentration within solvent blends. Due to its high solvency power and volatility, xylene should be handled with care, stored in well-ventilated areas away from ignition sources, and kept at controlled temperatures not exceeding 30°C to maintain stability and reduce flammability risks. It is incompatible with strong oxidizers and acids, which may cause hazardous reactions.
